coach bio
I coach to build a positive environment where players can push themselves on the field and to contribute to a team while building confidence in themselves and demonstrating perseverance to overcome challenges that they face on, and off, the field.
I am entering my 9th season of coaching girls lacrosse, and 15+ years of overall coaching. I started out coaching swimming while in college as an assistant at Mankato West. Moving to a large age group program at the Duluth YMCA, where I was not only the coach but the director of the program of 60+ swimmers. After a long hiatus I got back into coaching with the Buffalo Youth Lacrosse Club when my daughter showed an interest in playing, and I started helping with the 10U team that my daughter was on. Soon after I found myself helping with the high school program as well. Fall of 2019 I started coaching club with the Crandalls, and since then have usually been working with multiple teams, at various levels, throughout the year.
